Job summary

DICETEK LLC is seeking an architecture leader with deep experience in banking infrastructure to define and drive the target architecture for on-prem and Azure environments. The role emphasizes high availability, disaster recovery, and integration with core banking vendors and SI partners.

Ideal candidates have 12-15+ years in infrastructure engineering and architecture within banking, and a proven track record delivering large core banking transformations with strong leadership in architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 12-15+ years in infrastructure engineering and architecture, with significant time in banking.
• Demonstrated architecture leadership in a large core banking transformation.
• Track record of designing HA and DR for tier-1 banking systems.
• Experience working with core banking vendors and global system integrators.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design of target infrastructure architecture across on-premise data centres and Azure.
• Define landing zones and platform patterns for core banking systems and API platforms.
• Address Kubernetes/OpenShift, middleware and database hosting considerations.
• Define high availability, active-active and active-passive topologies, and DR patterns with RTO and RPO.
• Produce reference architectures, high and low level designs, and architecture decision records.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design
• Define the target infrastructure architecture across on-premise data centres and Azure, including
• compute, storage, network, Kubernetes/OpenShift, middleware and database hosting.
• Design landing zones and platform patterns for the core banking system, API platform, Kafka,
• observability and integration workloads.
• Define high availability, active-active and active-passive topologies, backup and disaster recovery
• patterns with RTO and RPO aligned to service criticality.
• Produce reference architectures, high-level and low-level designs and architecture decision
• records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 12-15+ years in infrastructure engineering and architecture, with significant time in banking.
• Demonstrated architecture leadership in a large core banking transformation.
• Track record of designing HA and DR for tier-1 banking systems.
• Experience working with core banking vendors and global system integrators.

Technical Skills

• Hybrid cloud architecture, with Azure strongly preferred.
• VMware virtualisation, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux and enterprise storage (SAN/NAS, object
• storage).
• Oracle database infrastructure including RAC, Data Guard and Exadata.
• Data centre and cloud networking, load balancing and security zoning.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), GitOps and CI/CD.
• Observability and capacity management tooling.
• Understanding of BIAN-aligned, API-led and event-driven architectures.

Preferred Certifications

• TOGAF 9 or 10.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Red Hat OpenShift or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Oracle Exadata or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification.
