Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East invites an experienced Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. You will provide expert care for adults with complex infections and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship.

The role requires MBBS or equivalent, board certification in infectious diseases, DOH license, and 5–7 years of post‑specialist experience. You will collaborate with ICU, internal medicine, surgery, and microbiology teams.

Qualifications

MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
Board Certification / Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Board, or equivalent).
Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of infectious diseases including bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
Manage complex cases such as sepsis, HIV, tuberculosis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and hospital-acquired infections.
Lead and support antimicrobial stewardship programs to optimize antibiotic use.
Collaborate with ICU, internal medicine, surgery, and microbiology teams for integrated patient care.
Provide consultation services for inpatient and outpatient infectious disease cases.
Participate in infection prevention and control initiatives and outbreak management.
Ensure compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital protocols, and international clinical guidelines.
Contribute to teaching, training, audits, research, and continuous quality improvement programs.
