Job summary

Abu Dhabi University invites industry professionals to join our academic community as Industry Faculty (Part-Time). This role offers a flexible teaching load of up to two courses per semester across all colleges, with opportunities to teach remotely for selected courses.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, with current industry leadership experience. Doctorate is preferred for postgraduate teaching, and active engagement in research and industry collaboration is

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with current industry experience.
• Doctorate preferred for postgraduate teaching; Master’s degree with extensive industry leadership experience may be considered.
• Currently employed in a senior or technical industry role, or recently retired (within 3 years).
• Membership in a reputable professional or industry association is preferred.
• Strong subject matter expertise and excellent communication skills.
• Teaching or mentoring experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two undergraduate or postgraduate courses per semester.
• Deliver industry-aligned instruction based on approved course learning outcomes.
• Infuse classroom teaching with real-world examples, tools, and case studies from your industry experience.
• Support academic programs by integrating current industry practices and trends into teaching and curriculum.
• Collaborate with full-time faculty on industry-relevant research and applied innovation projects.
• Mentor students on professional development, career readiness, and workplace expectations.
• Actively participate in at least two college activities or committees each academic year.
• Have the ability to teach remotely for a limited period of time on selected courses only.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, along with current industry experience, is required to teach undergraduate courses.
• To teach postgraduate courses, a Doctorate degree is preferred; however, a Master’s degree combined with extensive industry experience at a leadership level in the relevant discipline may also be considered.
• Currently employed in a senior or technical role in industry, or retired from such a role within the last three years.
• Membership in a reputable professional or industry association is highly preferred.
• Strong subject matter expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for student development.
• Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring is desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation

Remuneration is based on the number of credit hours delivered. Additional collaboration opportunities may be available through research and industry-engagement projects.
