Job Purpose and Scope
Product Designer’s main responsibilities include defining product specifications, creating digital or print drawings and designing fully functional products. To be successful in this role, you should have an eye for color and shape and be able to translate requirements into practical product features. Ultimately, you will help us build products that are easy to use and visually appealing to our potential customers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System requirement
- Identify opportunities for new products
- Able to visualise the product using the Vred/ Keyshot
- Analyze how a new product ties in with market needs and consumer preferences
- Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
- Research materials and techniques
- Sketch drafts on paper or digitally (for example, using Rhino/Grasshopper, CAD, Photoshop ETC )
- Use 3D modeling software to design products and components
- Produce prototypes and test functionality
- Improve the design of existing products
- Gather feedback from product users

Job Specification - Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in design
- Bachelor’s degree in integrated design
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial & Product Design
- Proficiency in design software with computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as Autodesk Alias, Rhino 3D, rendering tools, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch, like Illustrator and Sketch DFM/DFA/DFMEA.
- Strong understanding of materials, design techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in industrial design, creating prototypes and conducting functionality tests.
- Extensive experience in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating advanced design skills and successful product launches.
- Creativity in mixing up colors, shapes and techniques.
- Strong background in design sketching, methodologies, analytics, and product launches.
- A strong portfolio that showcases a diverse range of design projects, including consumer products, digital interfaces, and physical objects.
- A thorough understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience in iterative design processes, rapid prototyping, and usability testing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacturability is advantageous.
