EY is seeking a MENA Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to advise clients on VAT treatment of complex transactions and to resolve classification disputes with tax authorities. You will work in a global network across industries and support cross‑border engagements with colleagues in overseas offices.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, applying regional customs concepts, and contributing to tax advisory services within audit and transactions teams.

Qualifications

• A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience as Indirect Tax professional.
• Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred; other relevant industry experience considered.
• Customs duty advisory experience is preferable, but VAT/GST advisory experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on VAT treatment of new and complex transactions and help resolve classification disputes with authorities.
• Collaborate with VAT professionals to deliver cross‑border transaction insights across industries.
• Prepare reports and schedules for clients and maintain productive client relationships.
• Engage with overseas colleagues to provide indirect tax guidance for audits and transactions.
