Job summary

Eaton, Dubai hub for Middle East operations, seeks an Indirect Procurement Category Manager EMEA for Professional Services & IT. Lead regional sourcing, contracting and supplier performance to optimize TCO and value across Europe and the broader EMEA region.

Role requires 8–10 years in indirect procurement, strong Ariba and supplier-management experience, and ability to drive cost-out while collaborating with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 8–10 years of indirect procurement or SCM experience in EMEA.
• Proven procurement for Professional Services & IT (HR, Office, IT, Finance, Legal).
• Regional experience in EMEA, especially Europe.
• Familiar with procurement tools like Ariba.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership for designated Professional Services & IT categories (≈$80m spend) in EMEA.
• Develop, align and deploy category strategies with business stakeholders.
• Deliver cost-out initiatives and cost-avoidance across the region.
• Drive cost improvement across the supplier base while maintaining quality.
• Define and document a preferred supplier list and contracts roadmap.
• Lead RFP/RFQ processes across regions and ensure deployment.

The primary function of theIndirect Procurement Category Manager EMEA - Professional Services & ITis to manage designated categories of Indirect Spend within the EMEA region, ensuring an uninterrupted and timely supply at the optimum cost and quality that satisfies stakeholder requirements and company goals. This includes supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting and supplier performance management. Designated categories under Professional Services & IT (e.g. HR, Office Products, IT, Finance, Legal). The Indirect Procurement Category Manager EMEA - Professional Services & IT is responsible for the definition and deployment, in conjunction with key stakeholders across all business groups, of the Sourcing strategy for the designated categories across all countries in EMEA. The position is responsible for the regional selection and relationship building with key suppliers, for an effective program management of designated categories within the region and for the year over year reduction in overall total cost of ownership of the same.

What you’ll do

• Provide regional leadership, management and oversight for the designated Professional Services & IT categories (Total ~$80m spend) on the EMEA region.
• Under the leadership of the EMEA Professional Services & IT Procurement Lead, in conjunction with respective business unit stakeholders and the Corporate GPO Global Category Leads, develop, align and deploy effective key Category strategies for the related categories, with accountability to positively impact associated annual category spend.
• Deliver an annual Cost Out into the businesses P&L & drive Cost Avoidance of inflationary and discretionary spending items (where appropriate), impacting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for assigned categories, increasing leverage across a rationalized set of preferred supplier partners.
• Deliver Working Cost Improvement across the supply base on an annual basis (Total ~$80m spend)
• Responsible to define and document a Preferred Supplier List and contracts roadmap, working collaboratively with business units to convert spend to either ‘strategic’ or ‘approved’ supply base. With this approach, create and leverage a rationalized supply base that covers the majority of spend and is managed at a strategic level.
• Lead and occasionally support RFP/RFQ exercises on supported categories and sub-categories, including coordination with all the regions and project management until deployment is fully executed
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, through deployment of common standards and best practice
• Request for Proposal/Request for Quote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the Indirect Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management
• Proven track record of Indirect Procurement of Professional Services & IT (e.g. HR, Office Products, IT, Finance, Legal) is a must
• Regional experience in EMEA, especially in Europe
• Experience in use of Procurement tools such as Spend Analysis, Contracts Database, Supplier Management Systems and Sourcing tools (e.g. Ariba)
