Location: Dubai

Main Responsibilities:

  • Independently execute in-situ machining activities.
  • Perform machining works in workshop environment as well as in the field.
  • Perform in-situ machining works on Wärtsilä and other products.
  • Participate in the improvement of in-situ machining equipment and products.
  • Participate in technical discussions and communications.
  • Perform workshop services as directed.
  • Report and inform administrative personnel as required.
  • Ensure work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
  • Ensure work complies with QuantiServ Quality standards.
  • Prepare service reports and travel expenses on time, maintaining expected QuantiServ quality.
  • Report executed work according to QuantiServ standards.
  • Promote QuantiServ and Wärtsilä Products and Services.
  • Safely execute all work according to QuantiServ and Wärtsilä standards.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Professional Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industrial experience, including at least 3 years in in-situ machining.
  • Experience with in-situ machining crankpin equipment (reference required).
  • Advanced level of English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Experience with in-situ line boring, milling, drilling, and lathe equipment (reference required).
  • Experience with workshop machines such as manual lathes, milling, and drilling machines.
  • Knowledge of laser alignment equipment.
  • Use of measuring equipment such as large micrometers.
  • Metal stitching experience is highly recommended.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and able to learn in-house systems.
