Job summary

Zyagulf Information Technology UAE seeks an experienced Fortinet Consultant to join our Dubai team. You will lead threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and policy enforcement while delivering performance reports for clients.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of Fortinet experience, strong SIEM/EDR skills, and hands-on experience with FortiSOAR, FortiGate, and FortiAnalyzer. Immediate joining is preferred to support ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Fortinet consulting experience.
• Relevant IT degree.
• ASAP joining/within 15 days preferred.
• Dubai/UAE work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities including threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, policy enforcement, and generating performance reports.
• Manage and optimize security tools such as SIEM and EDR; configure, tune and update to enhance detection and response.
• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM technologies, identifying threats and vulnerabilities.
• Fine-tune SIEM alert rules and correlation logic to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy.
• Collaborate with security engineering and automation teams to optimize SOAR workflows.
• Develop and configure FortiSOAR connectors to integrate with FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer and SIEM systems.
• Maintain communication with client teams to understand evolving security needs and priorities.
• Administer and fine-tune security tools such as SIEM/EDR and other defense platforms.
• Coordinate response during security breaches with client teams to contain threats and restore operations.

Manage day-to-day activities including threat monitoring incident response vulnerability management policy enforcement and generating performance report. Manage and optimize security tools such as SIEM Security Information and Event Management EDR other security solutions which include configuring tuning and updating to enhance detection and response capabilities. Monitored and analyzed security events using SIEM technologies identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities. Finetuned SIEM alert rules and correlation logic to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy enhancing incident triage efficiency. Collaborated with security engineering and automation teams to optimize SOAR workflows improving response times and reducing manual workload. Developed and configured FortiSOAR connectors to integrate with FortiGate FortiAnalyzer and SIEM systems enabling seamless ingestion and processing of DESC-related alerts. Maintained consistent communication with client teams to understand their evolving security needs and priorities while providing timely updates on incidents emerging threats and actionable recommendations. Administered and fine-tuned security tools such as SIEM EDR and other critical defense platforms ensuring optimal configuration threat detection accuracy and response efficiency. Coordinated response efforts during security breaches and cyberattacks working closely with client teams to contain threats assess impact and restore operations with minimal disruption.
