Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced IMD-Machine Operator to work in UAE.

Job Summary

To perform and carry out specific tasks assigned or processed and ensure to delivery of targets are met according to production requirements or work orders.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate/Prepare and set up the machine according to the specifications of the product to be manufactured.
  • Install the Tool/mould into the machine ensuring proper alignment and configuration.
  • Adjust machine settings and processing to achieve the desired product quality.
  • Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of raw materials for continuous operation.
  • Handle and store materials properly to prevent contamination or defects.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure the products meet quality standards.
  • Perform visual inspections of products for defects or abnormalities.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to correct defects and maintain product consistency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the process.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to address and resolve technical problems promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings and any adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
  • Document any issues, defects or machine downtime for reporting and analysis.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures when operating machinery.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on the machine and associated equipment.
  • Ensure that molds/tools are cleaned and maintained properly to prevent defects and extend their lifespan.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and quality control personnel.
  • Report any deviations from standard operating procedures or quality issues promptly.
  • Contact the technician or supervisor if parts do not meet the quality standard as defined.
  • Inform the Supervisor of any malfunction in the machine; coordinate with Technicians to resolve the issue; keep Supervisor informed of the progress.
  • Record scrap or non-conforming products on a control sheet and store it appropriately for review.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area and keeping it safe.
  • Observe and comply with standard operation procedures and HSE guidelines.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant production operations and processes experience in plastic or pipe manufacturing environment.
  • Diploma / Industrial Trade Certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience in extrusion and/or moulding process a plus.
  • English writing skills.
  • Good physical condition.
