Job summary

Rawafed Private School in Abu Dhabi is seeking a proactive ICT Teacher to empower Grades 5 and 6 with digital literacy and computational thinking. You will deliver a technology-rich curriculum aligned to the American framework and develop engaging, project-based tasks that enhance problem-solving skills.

Mandates include creating assessments, maintaining ICT labs, and supporting teachers with digital tools while promoting safe and responsible technology use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, or related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of ICT teaching experience at upper elementary level (Grades 4–6).
• Strong knowledge of coding languages suitable for upper elementary students (e.g. Scratch, Python basics).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and educational technology platforms.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• UAE teaching licence or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons for Grades 5 and 6 aligned with the American curriculum.
• Teach topics including digital literacy, coding fundamentals, internet safety, software applications, and data handling.
• Design practical, project-based tasks that develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress across both practical and theoretical components.
• Maintain and support the school’s ICT resources, labs, and equipment in coordination with the IT team.
• Integrate technology across the curriculum by supporting other teachers with digital tools.
• Promote responsible and ethical use of technology and online safety among students.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve lesson content.
