Drydocks World in Dubai seeks a Foreman for blasting and painting projects to deliver yard works on time and to required standards.

You will oversee surface cleaning, grit blasting, hydro blasting, degreasing, coating application and corrosion protection for hulls, decks, tanks and structures, following SOPs and quality rules.

Strong knowledge of blasting standards, painting specifications and equipment, plus hands-on supervision and coordination with team leaders is essential.

Qualificações

• Experience with surface cleaning and preparation, blasting and coating to SOPs.
• Knowledge of corrosion protection for hulls, decks, tanks and structures.
• Ability to supervise small jobs and complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain good housekeeping and report progress and issues.
• Coordinate with foremen, supervisors and management as required.
• Willingness to attend required training and follow SOPs.

Responsabilidades

• Apply corrosion protection to hull, decks, tanks, structural steel, pipelines and miscellaneous items.
• Practice self-supervision on small jobs and complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain housekeeping throughout production.
• Report work status, tool damage and process errors to the team leader.
• Maintain good working relationships with crew and supervisors.
• Perform Foreman duties as required for projects.
• Attend training for department activities.
• Follow day-to-day operations to ensure continuity of work.

JOB OBJECTIVES: SUMMARY OF OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

Responsible to perform all phases of blasting / painting works in the yard to deliver projects within the set target.

F: Day-to-day operations:

• Perform job-related activities such as surface cleaning & preparation, scrapping, fresh water washing, degreasing, power tooling, grit blasting, hydro blasting & surface coating (painting) in line with defined standard operating procedures and quality standards.
• Apply the corrosion protection process to hull, decks, superstructure, chain lockers, tank coatings, cargo holds, structural steel works, pipelines & miscellaneous items. .
• Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure to complete each project in an efficient, timely manner.
• Ensure that proper housekeeping is maintained throughout the production process. .
• Report work status / progress, tools damage and process errors to the respective team leader.
• Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management.
• Perform duties of a Foreman as required / appointed for individual projects.
• Attend any training for any activity required by the department.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
