Job summary

Consultant HSS in the UAE seeks an experienced Civil/Infrastructure engineer to perform hydraulic modeling, prepare detailed drawings, and manage approvals with DEWA and other authorities. You will coordinate with roads, structures, and electrical teams to resolve clashes and provide field support during construction.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in infrastructure/wet utilities, and strong knowledge of local standards like BS/EN and AWWA. UAE residency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering consultancy environment, infrastructure/wet utilities
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or EPANET)
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Infrawizard)
• Strong knowledge of Dubai or Abu Dhabi authority design manuals and international standards (BS/EN, AWWA)
• Proven experience coordinating with local government authorities for project approvals
• Located in UAE only

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic modeling and design of pressurized and gravity networks
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics and design reports
• Manage the submission and approval process with local authorities (e.g., DEWA, DM, RTA, ADM, ADDC)
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (roads, structures, electrical) to resolve design clashes
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including RFI responses and shop drawing reviews
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications
