Job summary

SCC seeks an experienced Machine Learning Engineer for an initial 6-month freelance contract in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with hybrid onsite/remote arrangement. The role focuses on designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining ML solutions to support business initiatives.

The successful candidate will build end-to-end ML pipelines, collaborate with data scientists and engineers, and ensure data quality and model accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, AI Development, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Keras.
• Experience building and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development best practices.
• Experience with SQL and data processing technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and MLOps methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a freelance consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and AI solutions.
• Build and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, training, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Optimize machine learning models to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Work with large datasets to extract insights and improve model effectiveness.
• Develop APIs and services to support machine learning applications in production environments.
• Ensure data quality, model accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot issues related to model performance and deployment.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI and machine learning technologies.
