Job summary

Julphar is seeking a seasoned BMS/EMS Engineer to own the technical performance of the HVAC plant in GMP-cleanrooms. The role includes configuration, alarms, trends, tuning, and ensuring data integrity under 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11.

You will lead troubleshooting, CAPA, PM, calibration, testing, and validation activities while coordinating with contractors and vendors. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Control Engineering.
• 5-8 years in HVAC/BMS, including 3 years in pharmaceutical or GMP facility.
• Hands-on BMS programming (Siemens Desigo CC preferred; Honeywell, JCI or Schneider accepted).
• Strong knowledge of EU GMP Annex 1, ISO 14644, GAMP 5, ALCOA+ and cleanroom HVAC.
• Fluent English; Arabic an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical system owner of the BMS/EMS (e.g. Siemens Desigo CC): configuration, alarms, trends, PID tuning, backups and user access.
• Lead troubleshooting of HVAC failures and environmental excursions; drive root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Manage PM, calibration, HEPA/airflow testing and shutdowns for HVAC and BMS/EMS.
• Own change controls, deviations and SOPs for HVAC/BMS; support qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and computerised system validation.
• Ensure BMS/EMS data integrity in line with 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11.
• Provide HVAC/BMS input to projects and supervise contractors and vendors.
• Identify and implement energy savings without GMP impact.
• Supervise and train operators and technicians; act as on-call escalation point.
• Represent HVAC/BMS in audits and regulatory inspections.
• Enforce permit-to-work, LOTO and EHS requirements.
