Job summary

Azizi Group is seeking a seasoned HV Project Engineer - Electrical to lead high voltage projects, including substations, switchgear and transformers, ensuring safety and compliance. You will coordinate with consultants, clients and authorities, review drawings and protection schemes, and manage schedules and budgets while guiding site testing and energization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
7–10 years of experience in HV electrical projects.
Strong knowledge of HV substations, switchgear, transformers, protection relays and earthing.
Experience with utility coordination and authority approvals is mandatory.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of project management tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute HV electrical projects including substations, switchgear, transformers and related systems.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, utilities and internal teams to meet specs and authority requirements.
Review HV drawings, single-line diagrams, protection schemes and submittals.
Plan activities, monitor progress, and ensure schedules and budgets.
Supervise site installation, testing, commissioning and energization of HV systems.
Ensure compliance with DEWA / ADDC / SEWA / local authority standards and relevant international codes.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing and approvals.
Identify risks, resolve issues, and support close-out documentation.
