Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced HR leader to support Turnaround and Shutdown projects in the UAE. The role requires 10-15+ years in HR, with 5+ years in senior HR roles in industrial settings, and strong manpower mobilization experience.

The candidate will work closely with Operations and Senior Leadership to ensure workforce readiness, regulatory compliance, and effective employee relations across large-scale maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or heavy industries.
• Minimum 5 years in an HR Manager / BP / Lead role or equivalent.
• Mandatory experience in industrial/project-driven organizations with shutdowns, outages, or TARs.

Responsibilities

• Support TAR projects with rapid manpower ramp-up and high-volume recruitment.
• Coordinate workforce mobilization, demobilization, and redeployment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Site Management and leadership.
• Ensure UAE Labour Law compliance and robust employee relations.

Job description

• 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, Energy, Power, EPC, Engineering, Industrial Services, Maintenance, or Shutdown & Turnaround environments.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR Lead, or equivalent senior HR position.
• Mandatory experience in an industrial/project-driven organization with strong exposure to industrial maintenance, plant maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, outages and project-based operations.
• Proven experience supporting Turnaround & Shutdown (TAR) projects, including rapid manpower ramp-up, high-volume recruitment, workforce mobilization, employee relations, site HR support and subsequent demobilization/redeployment.
• Experience supporting large-scale industrial maintenance and project activities, particularly within Power, Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities or similar heavy-industry environments.
• Strong experience managing permanent employees, project-based employees, contract manpower, skilled trades, technicians, supervisors, engineers and site-based workforce.
• Demonstrated ability to manage HR requirements where manpower requirements increase significantly within short project timelines.
• Experience working closely with Operations, Project Management, Site Management and senior leadership to ensure workforce availability and project readiness.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, employee relations, manpower planning, mobilization/demobilization and HR compliance.
• GCC experience is preferred, with UAE industrial/project experience strongly preferred.
