Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks an experienced HSE professional to ensure compliance with EGA requirements, ADOSH-SF and UAE HSE legislation. The role involves conducting inspections, enforcing safety standards, managing PTWs, and driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.

You will review risk assessments, lead safety inductions and training, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and support internal and external HSE audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience is expected.
• Valid EGA approved EHS Representative and Train the Trainer certifications are preferred.

About the Role

Job Purpose

Ensure compliance with EGA Requirements, ADOSH-SF and UAE HSE legislation while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EGA HSE standards and project-specific requirements.
• Conduct daily HSE inspections and enforce site HSE compliance.
• Verify Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements and monitor compliance with approved permits.
• Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and other documentations such
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and HSE training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly, and monthly HSE reports and maintain relevant HSE records.
• Conduct emergency drills and support emergency preparedness activities.
• Monitor environmental compliance and identify potential environmental risks.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, EGA, subcontractors, and project management on HSE matters.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections.
• Intervene and stop unsafe work where an immediate risk to personnel, property, or the environment is identified.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure continuous improvement in project HSE performance.

What do we need from you

Required Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Valid EGA Approved EHS Representative certification/approval.
• Valid EGA Approved Train the Trainer certification/approval.
• Knowledge of EGA HSE requirements, EGA Green Book and site safety standards..
• Knowledge of EGA HSE requirements and site safety standards.
• Knowledge of ADOSH-SF, AD Ports/DMT HSE standards, and ITC requirements.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HES experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Engineering or equivalent.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
