Overview

Specialism: Quality Control / Inspection / HSE

The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies on-site to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures. They conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and enforce corrective actions to mitigate risks. The officer collaborates closely with site personnel and management to promote a culture of safety and prevent accidents or environmental incidents. In addition to fieldwork, the HSE Officer delivers safety training, investigates incidents, and prepares detailed reports to track safety performance and compliance. Strong observational skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and effective communication are essential to fostering a safe and healthy workplace environment.

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of HSE experience in construction, industrial, or oil & gas settings, including site inspections, emergency drills, and incident investigations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in risk assessments (JSAs), permit-to-work systems, PPE enforcement, environmental compliance, and ISO standards (e.g., ISO14001, ISO45001).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for training and stakeholder engagement. Excellent report writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Behavioral & Safety Culture: Demonstrates a proactive safety mindset, skilled at identifying hazards, giving behavioural feedback, and enforcing safe work practices
