Job Overview
As the HSE Manager with Construction Background, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures for our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant HSE regulations and standards. Your main goal will be to create a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- - Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs for all construction projects
- - Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations
- - Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors
- - Investigate accidents and incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
- - Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to test their effectiveness
- - Coordinate with project managers to ensure HSE requirements are incorporated into project plans and schedules
- - Keep up-to-date with all relevant HSE regulations and standards and ensure compliance with them
- - Prepare and submit HSE reports to senior management and regulatory agencies
- - Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- - Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization
Qualifications and Skills
- - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- - Minimum of 18 years of experience as an HSE Manager in the construction industry, the oil and gas sector
- - Knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
- - Strong leadership and communication skills
- - Ability to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
- - Experience in conducting HSE training and awareness programs
- - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- - Attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards
- - Strong organizational and time-management skills
- - Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE software
- - Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- - NEBOSH or OSHA certification is a plus
