Job summary

Dutco Group is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental protocols for infrastructure, roads and marine projects in Dubai.

You will conduct risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations and training to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations on sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OH&S, Environmental Science or related field.
• Proven work experience as HSE Engineer in infrastructure, roads or utilities.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards for the sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies for infrastructure, roads, and marine projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide HSE training to employees and contractors on sites.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors on HSE concerns.
• Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and safety KPIs.

Summary

The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer for Infrastructure/Roads/Utilities will be responsible for implementing and maintaining HSE protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with regulations in the infrastructure, roads, and marine sectors.

Job Responsibilities

• - Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures specific to infrastructure, roads, and marine projects.
• - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
• - Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• - Provide HSE training to employees and contractors involved in infrastructure, roads, and marine projects.
• - Monitor and ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and industry standards.
• - Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address any HSE concerns and issues.
• - Maintain records of HSE incidents, near misses, and safety performance indicators.

Candidate Requirements

• - Bachelor's degree Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• - Proven work experience as an HSE Engineer in the infrastructure, roads, or utilities.
• - In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards relevant to infrastructure, roads, and utilities projects.
• - Strong analytical skills to identify risks and develop safety solutions.
• - Excellent communication and training skills.
• - Certification in NEBOSH or equivalent is a plus.
