Overview

Develop and implement site-specific health, safety and environmental (HSE) plans for major civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure adherence to safety protocols in construction activities.
• Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage and coordinate the permit-to-work system, ensuring all high-risk activities are properly assessed and controlled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HSE experience specifically within the civil infrastructure construction sector.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), CSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in managing HSE for large-scale projects like highways, bridges, dams, or underground utilities.
