Job summary

aasa Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced HSE professional to implement and enforce policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead safety inspections across construction sites. You will investigate incidents, promote a safety-first culture, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and ISO standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, NEBOSH IGC preferred, and 4–7 years of HSE experience, including UAE exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Science.
• NEBOSH IGC certification preferred.
• 4–7 years’ experience in HSE roles in construction/infrastructure.
• 3+ years UAE experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE policies in compliance with UAE regulations and company standards.
• Conduct Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and hazard identification for all site activities.
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and safety walks; ensure timely closure of non-compliances.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs to promote safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, RAMS, and PPE requirements.
• Monitor contractor and workforce compliance with HSE procedures and safety standards.
• Support emergency preparedness plans, drills, and ensure readiness of response systems.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, and KPI tracking; submit regular safety performance reports.
• Ensure environmental compliance including waste management and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Support ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with site management and project teams to ensure safe execution of all construction activities.
• Promote proactive safety culture and ensure zero-incident mindset across all project operations.
