A leading logistics company is looking for an HR Specialist (Talent Acquisition) in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage the full recruitment cycle, partner with hiring managers to meet staffing needs, and ensure compliance with policies. We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Specialist (Talent Acquisition) with solid background in Recruiting & Onboarding to join our HR department in UAE.

Reporting Line

Reports to: Senior Manager, HR, Dubai & Iraq

Direct subordinates: None

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process : job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding.
  • Draft / Post job descriptions utilizing different internal platforms and external. Attract & manage applicants by advertising job openings as per DSV guidelines and recruitment policies.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions and specifications.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and professional networks.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews and coordinate assessments and panel interviews.
  • Schedule and arrange interviews & site visits with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment processes (background checks, documentation, etc.).
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates for future hiring needs.
  • Maintain candidate databases and ensure effective tracking using ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Ensure timely communication and alignment between candidates, hiring managers, and HR.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment metrics and regularly update hiring dashboard for management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, labor laws, and equal employment opportunity regulations.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the recruitment process.
  • Stay updated on talent acquisition trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Support Emiratisation initiatives by recruiting Emirati talent in alignment with local hiring targets.
  • Track and report onboarding KPIs to ensure a successful transition of new hires into the business.
Onboarding
  • Sending out offer letter.
  • Obtaining relevant documents for visa process and working with the admin team.
  • Provide candidates with an overview of the pre-boarding and onboarding processes.
  • Coordinating with the Admin team with necessary documents for visa processing.
  • Arranging for IT assets / systems and safety gear for all new hires.
  • Archiving personal documents on shared drive for every new hire.
Communication

Internal – All Internal Teams

External – Customers (via internal Account / Site Managers), Search Firms, Job Boards

Qualifications & Characteristics
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Human Resources.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience as an in-house recruiter, preferably in a fast-growth organization and a highly competitive labor market environment.
  • Sound knowledge of HR practices.
  • Ability to communicate openly and confidently (Oral and Written).
  • Ability to involve stakeholders in decision making process, to get buy-in and to implement solutions.
  • Readiness to continuously focus on identifying and meeting current and future recruiting needs.
  • Readiness to provide alternatives and optimized recruiting solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and control recruiting tasks.
  • Time management (monitoring performance against deadlines and milestones).
  • Knowledgeable of markets & competitors, and about industry trends & challenges.
  • Business Acumen (understands principles and fundamentals of finance and profitability).
  • Be authentic, approachable, open and honest.
