Job summary

Fairmont Ajman is seeking a Kitchen/Laundry Technician to maintain and repair kitchen and laundry equipment across the hotel, ensuring safe, efficient operation and minimal downtime. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems, follow preventive maintenance schedules, and support other departments while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration or HVAC.
• Experience in hotel engineering or commercial kitchen/laundry equipment.
• Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, laundry equipment and related gear.
• Respond to maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Follow safety, lockout/tagout and compliance procedures.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping and Laundry teams.
• Assist contractors during servicing and repairs.
• Identify energy-saving opportunities and document activities.
