• Proven experience and expertise in carpentry, including a thorough understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry: construct, install, repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, and doors/windows.
• Inspect and assess repairs on woodworks and structures; perform timely maintenance or replacement.
• Collaborate with Engineering to prioritize tasks and keep facilities running smoothly.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new materials within budget.
• Document maintenance work and materials used.
• Read blueprints and sketches to understand project specs.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble wood and substitutes.
• Implement design solutions to enhance interiors and exteriors.
• Ensure carpentry complies with safety codes and building standards.
• Stay updated on carpentry techniques and materials.
• Discuss wood types, adhesives, finishes, and hardware.
