Job summary

GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an outstanding History Teacher to join the secondary team from August 2026. The successful candidate will build positive relationships with students, adapting learning to meet the needs of all learners, bringing creativity and enjoyment to lessons, and applying strong, evidence-based teaching pedagogy.

The role requires a BEd or Bachelor’s with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent and proven History teaching to KS4/KS5.

Qualifications

• Hold a BEd or a Bachelor’s degree with PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.
• Proven experience of teaching History to KS4 and KS5 or equivalent.
• Demonstrate outstanding learning and teaching results.
• Collaborate and share best practice with colleagues.
