Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd. is seeking a Survey and Track Inspector to support the PMEC High-Speed Rail Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The role covers civil engineering surveying, construction setting-out and permanent way inspection to ensure railway infrastructure aligns with approved designs and tolerances. The successful candidate will verify positions, alignments, levels and track geometry while witnessing testing activities and maintaining inspection records for commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in surveying, inspection or site supervision, including 2–3 years on railway projects.
• Proven experience in civil engineering surveying, construction setting-out and permanent way inspection.
• Ability to verify position, alignment, levels and dimensions of civil works.

Responsibilities

• Conduct civil engineering survey and setting-out for railway-related works.
• Perform surveying for earthworks, concrete, structures, drainage and utilities.
• Establish and verify survey control points, benchmarks and reference grids.
• Check survey data against approved drawings and engineering design data.
• Verify alignment, levels and dimensions of constructed civil works.
• Identify discrepancies between completed construction and approved design requirements.
• Conduct as-built surveys to ensure compliance with dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect permanent way and track construction activities to verify workmanship.
