Job summary

Dubai American Academy, part of GEMS Education, is seeking a High School Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum and IB options. The role emphasizes inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction, and collaboration across the school to support student growth in science.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, proven high school science teaching experience, and strong communication with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification in Science.
• Proven experience teaching Science at High School level.
• Experience in American and/or IB curriculum is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to High School students according to the school curriculum and standards.
• Develop and apply creative teaching strategies to foster interest in Science and critical thinking.
• Utilize inquiry-based learning and practical science instruction to support understanding.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate progress to parents.
