Job summary

Arbete seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician in the UAE. The role covers inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and forklifts. A valid UAE drivers license is mandatory.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, read manuals, and document service and repair records while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies. On-site work at various job sites required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience as a heavy equipment technician or mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Valid UAE Drivers License (Heavy Vehicle).
• Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing per manufacturer recommendations.
• Conduct inspections to identify wear and damage.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Operate and test equipment to verify proper function after repair.
• Assist in transporting equipment to and from job sites when required.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various types of heavy machinery and equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and forklifts. A valid UAE drivers license is mandatory for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, or Hitachi.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment.
• UAE experience preferred.
