Job summary

EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks an experienced Heat Treatment Technician to operate furnaces and support foundry activities. You will apply heat treatment cycles to various ferrous and non-ferrous components, monitor critical parameters, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college diploma or heat treatment/foundry training preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a heat treatment technician; experience with ferrous and non-ferrous parts required.
• Military or automotive foundry experience is an advantage.
• Ability to lift, carry and push items over 20 kg; interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read and use conventional and digital precision measuring instruments; English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heat treatment furnaces and related equipment safely.
• Carry out heat treatment processes (hardening, tempering, quenching, annealing, normalizing, PWHT).
• Monitor furnace temperature, rates, soaking time, cooling rate; maintain records.
• Verify hardness against drawings and inspection requirements; ensure conformance of components.
• Prepare and maintain complete heat treatment data records; obtain required consumables.
• Assist in foundry operations and casting processes; support heat treatment planning.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, PPE, and confidentiality; report operational risks.
