Qualifications

• A formal clinical or coding qualification is required.
• MBBS or Physiotherapy qualification is desired.
• At least 2-3 years’ insurance experience in a hospital or insurance setting is needed.
• At least 2 years’ experience in managing or supervising a team is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the insurance function at hospital level.
• Daily operational management of the insurance function.
• Manage and monitor all processes, including compliance with payer audits.
• Provide training to Front Office and other hospital employees.

Skills

Client service and related management principles

ICD-10CM, CPT, HCPCS, CDT, DSL

Knowledge of Funders and related processes and rules

Medical terminology

Negotiation skills

Verbal and written communication skills in English

Education

Formal clinical or coding qualification

MBBS or Physiotherapy qualification
