Job description
  • 1. Manage the allocated security budget effectively, ensuring resources are optimized and investments in security enhancements deliver measurable value.
  • 2. Support the development and execution of the security strategy by identifying operational risks, recommending mitigation measures, and ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • 3. Lead the security team in planning and implementing security programs, including Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Physical Security, in line with organizational security objectives.
  • 4. Supervise and guide the security workforce, ensuring they are properly trained, equipped, and scheduled to meet operational security requirements, while maintaining high performance standards.
  • 5. Oversee physical security operations, including access control, surveillance, and perimeter security, through regular risk assessments and timely implementation of approved security measures.
  • 6. Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to support the implementation of cybersecurity controls such as firewalls, monitoring systems, and incident detection tools, ensuring alignment with organizational security protocols.
  • 7. Develop and maintain emergency response and incident management procedures, conduct drills, coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services, and ensure employees are trained on emergency processes.
  • 8. Monitor, analyze, and report on security performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending action plans to enhance overall security effectiveness.
  • 9. Identify internal and external security challenges and contribute to the development of strategic mitigation plans to ensure business continuity during crises or emergency situations.
  • 10. Ensure implementation and compliance of security policies, procedures, and standards, aligned with national and international guidelines relevant to port / freezone operations.
  • 11. Review risk assessment reports submitted by service providers and recommend appropriate mitigation measures for management approval.
  • 12. Maintain strong relationships with external manpower and security service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and that service quality meets organizational expectations.
