This is an exciting opportunity for a KS4 experienced teacher or middle leader to lead the pastoral care and wellbeing of Year 10 and Year 11 students (8 form groups) including attendance punctuality behaviour and wellbeing.

As a Head of Year youllpromote high academic expectations for all students within Year 10 and Year 11 and monitor the academic progress of students across subjects using assessment data and progress tracking systems.
Youll identify underachievement within Year 10 and Year 11 and coordinate appropriate interventions in collaboration with teachers department leaders and the leadership team.
Youll take primary responsibility for the pastoral care and wellbeing of students within Year 10 and Year 11 and monitor attendance punctuality behaviour and wellbeing. Youll build strong positive relationships with students and promote a culture of respect responsibility and belonging.
Ideally youll teach Science English Psychology Humanities or Girls PE and prepare the students for IGCSE and A level exams.
