This role also focuses on financial management and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in healthcare facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital operations, facility systems, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Proven experience in managing large, multi-site operations and multidisciplinary teams.

Position Overview

The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end operational activities across all healthcare facility management contracts. This includes overseeing service delivery (both soft and hard FM services), ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, improving operational efficiency, and driving client satisfaction across hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Develop and execute operational strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple healthcare sites, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
  • Implement best practices in healthcare FM to optimize performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
Service Delivery & Quality Assurance
  • Oversee hard and soft FM services, including biomedical equipment maintenance, housekeeping, security, HVAC, waste management, and MEP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., NABH, JCI, OSHA), infection control protocols, and safety standards.
  • Monitor SLA/KPI performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the key point of contact for clients on operational matters.
  • Maintain strong relationships with hospital administrators, medical staff, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Handle escalations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and contract retention.
People Management
  • Lead and mentor regional/site operations managers, technical teams, and support staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess training needs and implement development programs to upgrade team capabilities.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets; monitor cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Control resource allocation and procurement in coordination with finance and procurement teams.
  • Review and authorize operational expenditures and CAPEX/OPEX planning.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure statutory compliance related to labor laws, safety, and healthcare regulations.
  • Oversee risk assessments, audits, and incident management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
