Job summary

Converge is seeking a Head of Legal in Dubai to lead the legal function across the region. You will provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on commercial decisions, regulatory compliance, and risk management while steering complex contracts and corporate governance.

You will oversee labour and employment matters for GCC operations, navigate multi-jurisdictional frameworks in UAE and KSA, and relocate if needed to support the firm's regional growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of legal experience, senior-level or in-house exposure.
• GCC labour and employment law expertise.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate contract law.
• In-depth regulatory understanding across UAE, KSA, and GCC.

What This Role Is About

Our client, a leading Outsourcing & Offshoring Consulting firm, is looking for a Head of Legal, based in Dubai, to lead its legal function and provide strategic guidance across its regional operations.

The role will oversee legal matters across the business, advising senior leadership on commercial decisions and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will manage complex commercial and corporate contracts while guiding the business on labour and employment matters across the GCC.

This is a senior leadership position requiring extensive legal experience, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to navigate regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The Client’s Definition of the Ideal Fit

• 15+ years of legal experience, with significant senior-level or in-house exposure
• Demonstrated expertise in GCC labour and employment laws
• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate contract law
• In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks across the UAE, KSA, and other GCC countries
• Experience managing complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions
• Ability to advise senior leadership on legal risks and commercial decisions
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to provide practical legal guidance
• Experience in outsourcing, offshoring, or business services is preferred
• Must be based in Dubai or willing to relocate
