Job summary

Generative Futures seeks a Head of Islamic Finance (Islamic Window) to lead the Islamic Window for a leading bank. The role reports to the CFO and owns financial integrity, segregation from conventional operations, and Sharia-aligned financial management.

Open to candidates locally and internationally, relocation is supported. Candidate should have extensive Islamic finance experience and strong IFRS/AAOIFI knowledge.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years' finance experience with Islamic Banking background
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and AAOIFI standards
• Experience with Sharia-compliant product structuring (Murabaha, Ijara, Istisna'a) and depositor profit mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial integrity and regulatory reporting for Islamic Window
• Oversee profit distribution, investment pool performance and equalisation mechanisms (PER/IRR)
• Lead accounting and treasury operations for the Islamic Finance unit and grow the team
• Coordinate with Sharia governance and regulators

Location: Abu Dhabi or Dubai

We're hiring a Head of Islamic Finance to lead the Islamic Window for a leading bank.

This is a senior, high-visibility role reporting into the CFO, owning financial integrity, segregation from conventional operations, and Sharia-aligned financial management for the Islamic Window.

What you'll own:

• Financial integrity, segregation, and regulatory reporting for the Islamic Window
• Profit distribution, investment pool performance, and equalisation mechanisms (PER/IRR)
• Accounting and treasury operations for the Islamic Finance business unit, leading a growing team
• Coordination with Sharia governance functions and regulators

What we're looking for:

• 7-10+ years' finance experience, with strong Islamic Banking/Islamic Finance background (essential)
• Deep command of IFRS and AAOIFI standards
• Experience with Sharia-compliant product structuring (Murabaha, Ijara, Istisna'a) and depositor profit mechanisms
