Job summary

Al-Futtaim Group seeks a Head of Internal Audit for Orient Takaful PJSC to provide independent assurance on governance, risk management and controls. The role reports to the Board Audit Committee and requires strong experience in insurance audit and regulatory matters.

The candidate should hold recognised audit qualifications (CIA/CPA/ACCA/CISA) and have at least five years of relevant audit experience within financial institutions or insurance. UAE experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, auditing, risk management, insurance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA are strongly preferred.
• At least five years of internal or external audit experience within insurance or financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations, regulatory frameworks, risk governance and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a risk-based annual audit plan approved by the Board Audit Committee.
• Maintain an Internal Audit Charter reviewed every 3 years.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the Three Lines Model.
• Report audit findings directly to the Board Audit Committee with no management filtering.
• Ensure independence of the audit function.
