Ziina is seeking an independent, hands-on Head of Internal Audit to establish and lead its Internal Audit function from the ground up. You will define the charter, methodology, and governance in line with CBUAE requirements and professional standards, while delivering independent assurance across Ziina’s regulated activities.

You will report to the Board, develop a risk-based audit plan, and execute end-to-end audits across financial, regulatory, operational, and technology domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Internal Audit experience in fintech or regulated environments.
• Experience auditing fintech, payments, or technology-driven institutions.
• Understanding UAE regulatory requirements (CBUAE) and IIA standards.
• Professional qualifications: CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Ability to develop audit plans, test controls, report to Board.

Responsabilités

• Build and lead the Internal Audit function from the ground up.
• Develop risk-based Internal Audit Plan and assess governance, risk, controls.
• Conduct end-to-end audits including planning and remediation follow-up.
• Provide independent assurance across financial, operational, regulatory, and tech risks.
• Leverage data analytics and automation for audit testing.
• Report to the Board with findings and remediation progress.
• Challenge stakeholders constructively while maintaining independence.
• Oversee audit findings and remediation tracking.
• Coordinate regulatory and external assurance activities with CBUAE, external auditors.
• Extend audit coverage to new regulated entities as Ziina grows.
• Improve audit effectiveness with scalable processes.
