We are currently supporting one of our esteemed clients in the search for their new Head of Finance to lead and shape the financial strategy for the Corporate & Investment Banking division.
The incumbent will be responsible for driving financial performance, enabling strategic decisions, and partnering closely with business leaders across the global markets. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the CIB ecosystem, spanning global banking, investment banking, and transactional banking, and can bridge the gap between finance and business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of financial performance management across the CIB business.
- Drive strategic financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting aligned with business objectives.
- Deliver robust financial control and insight to guide key decisions and ensure fiscal discipline.
- Consolidate regional and product-level financials into a cohesive global picture.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CIB leadership, providing financial insight that drives growth and efficiency.
- Be a true business partner, speaking the language of the business and contributing to deal and transaction discussions.
- Represent Finance in key business committees and governance forums.
- Optimize the balance sheet with a focus on capital efficiency and risk-adjusted returns.
- Oversee liquidity planning and management, including ALCO participation.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, including the adoption of AI and digital tools to modernize reporting and analytics.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater agility and scalability.
- Lead and inspire a growing local and international finance team.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Master's/MBA preferred.
- Relevant qualifications (CA, CPA, or CFA).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a senior finance role within Corporate & Investment Banking.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, deal structures, and transactional finance.
- Excellent financial modelling, analysis, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong experience in leading transformational initiatives and digital tool adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business performance.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to link financial outcomes to business strategies.
- A natural business partner – collaborative, proactive, and able to challenge constructively.
