ADCB in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Head of Equities Delta Trading to lead the delta one desk, defining strategy and driving risk-adjusted returns across regional and global equity markets. You will oversee execution, risk, governance, and product innovation to enhance market access and execution quality.

The ideal candidate brings deep Delta One expertise, a proven leadership record, and a strong capability to collaborate with Sales, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CFA, FRM, or equivalent preferred.
• 9+ years of experience in equities trading with delta one expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction of the Equities Delta Trading desk and align with trading objectives.
• Lead and optimise execution of delta one trades across cash equities, index futures, and ETFs with best-execution practices.
• Monitor trading exposures within approved limits and propose risk-control adjustments.
• Research macro trends and liquidity flows to identify trading opportunities and inform strategy.
• Evaluate competitor offerings to stay current on market developments.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance.
• Coordinate readiness for new product releases with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Compliance, and Technology.

Treasury & Investments Group

Treasury offers a diverse range of conventional and Islamic banking solutions and is responsible for the Group’s funding, investments, and centralised risk management activities. It manages the Bank’s borrowings, issuance of debt securities, and use of derivatives to mitigate financial risk, while investing in a range of instruments, including green bonds, short-term placements, and corporate and sovereign debt securities.

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage ADCB’s Equities Delta Trading desk with full accountability for strategy, execution, risk management, and performance across regional and global equity markets, leveraging expertise in delta one products (such as cash equities, equity index futures, and ETFs) while driving risk-adjusted returns, managing Profit & Loss (P&L), ensuring compliance, and enhancing execution and product offerings, and advancing ADCB’s trading strategy, market access and innovation in equity execution

In this role, your key responsibilities include

• Define and execute the strategic direction of the ADCB’s Equities Delta Trading desk, aligning with the Banks broader trading objectives and market expansion goals Lead and optimise execution of trades across delta one products including cash equities, equity index futures, and ETFs, ensuring the best execution and adherence to market structure
• Monitor and manage trading exposures within approved limits; escape breaches and recommend adjustments to maintain risk integrity and compliance with ADCB’s risk framework
• Research and analyze macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and liquidity flows to identify trading opportunities and inform strategy
• Evaluate and monitor competitor offerings to ensure the Bank is up to date on market developments, product evolution and industry best practice
• Maintain full adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards across all trading activities
• Lead and ensure quality checks are practiced end-to-end process and operations readiness in case of new product/service releases in order to support Treasury Business Units
• Manage and monitor change control and configuration management to ensure in accordance with departmental processes and procedures
• Partner with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to enhance execution quality, product offering, and operational efficiency

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

• At least 9 years of experience in equities trading, with a strong track record in delta one strategies across cash equities, index futures, and ETFs
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• CFA, FRM, or equivalent preferred
• Deep Expertise in Equity Markets, Delta One Products and Trading Strategies
