Job summary

Jumeirah International Nurseries, part of Fortes Education in the UAE, invites an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our new Early Childhood Centre in Sharjah. You will drive day-to-day academic and operational excellence while delivering a holistic EYFS/IPC curriculum.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or postgraduate) with at least 3 years in an ECC setting, strong regulatory knowledge, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Early Childhood setting.
• Knowledge of SPEA, Health Authority and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day academic and operational functions of the Early Childhood Centre.
• Recruit, retain and develop staff; oversee day-to-day financial systems.
• Ensure premises meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.

About You

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible to:

• Lead and manage the overall day-to-day academic and operational functions of the Early Childhood Centre including delivering the vision of the group; maximising the number of children on roll in the various programmes; recruitment, retention and development of staff; overseeing day-to-day financial systems.
• Develop and deliver a balanced EYFS /IPC curriculum, underpinned by developmentally appropriate play-based activities, Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approach enriched by Fortes’ Accelerated Learning programmes.
• Ensure that the premises are maintained at the highest quality standards and are compliant with the regulations of the Sharjah Private Education Authority(SPEA), Health Authority , Sharjah Municipality, and other government authorities.

The successful candidate will have

• A bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education or professional certification i.e. Level 5 vocational qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Early Childhood setting.
• A comprehensive knowledge of childcare requirements and regulations and previous success in managing an Early Childhood Centre.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and an outstanding work ethic.
