Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Division Head - Design to lead CAD drawing production and the design division of a large shipbuilding and marine operation in Dubai. You will ensure all design work aligns with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company procedures, delivering efficient drawings for production, maintenance, and projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience for degree holders, or 17 years for diploma holders.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within shipbuilding, marine, offshore, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated experience producing engineering drawings that support operations, production, maintenance, or project execution.
• Strong practical knowledge of shipyard, marine fabrication, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee high-quality CAD drawings to support operational and project activities across the shipyard.
• Manage and develop the design division workforce to meet business requirements.
• Review specifications and methods to determine safe, effective design solutions.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, production, and project teams for technical drawing support.
• Coordinate planning activities with execution teams for smooth project implementation.
• Support production and project departments in optimizing resource use through design.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, and development of design personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement and revise operating procedures for design and engineering.
• Work with Health, Safety, and Environmental teams to mitigate risks and maintain safety.
• Liaise with marine operations on vessel movements, docking, and related engineering needs.
• Develop and review lifting plans and engineering drawings for rigging operations.
• Coordinate with technical support and yard services to deliver design solutions.
