Qualifications

Responsibilities

Description: Nexmarin is seeking an experienced Draftsman to join its marine engineering team in Dubai. This position focuses on preparing precise technical blueprints, structural schematics, and statutory drawings for naval architecture and ship design projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with naval architects and marine engineering teams to produce detailed vessel designs, execute drawing revisions based on engineering feedback, and maintain drawing documentation across marine project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical drawings for new vessel designs, modifications, and marine structural engineering projects.
• Develop complete ship structural plans and statutory drawings adhering to class approval specifications.
• Coordinate with naval architects and structural engineers to ensure schematic accuracy and design compliance.
• Update, revise, and re-issue technical drawings based on engineering calculations and stakeholder feedback.
• Maintain digital drawing registers, CAD standards, and organized project documentation archives.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Drafting, or a related field preferred; 2 to 3 years of hands-on marine drafting experience.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of AutoCAD; hands-on experience with Rhino 3D modeling software is considered a distinct advantage.
