Job summary

Leading Abu Dhabi Bank seeks a Head of Data Office to spearhead enterprise-wide data strategy, governance and management. You will establish a robust data framework, drive data quality, and treat data as a strategic asset across the organisation.

In this senior role, you will lead a high-performing team, align data initiatives with risk and compliance, and collaborate with technology and business leadership to improve data access and integrity across functions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Data Office in banking/financial services.
• Proven track record establishing or transforming data governance functions.
• Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks and regulatory requirements.

We are partnering with a leading bank in Abu Dhabi to appoint a Head of Data Office to lead the bank's enterprise-wide data strategy, governance and management capabilities.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for establishing a robust data framework, improving data quality and ensuring data is managed as a strategic asset across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the bank's Data Office, overseeing data governance, data management, data quality and data strategy.
• Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies and standards.
• Drive data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data lineage and master data management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Establish data quality controls, monitoring processes and reporting standards across business functions.
• Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance and business leadership to improve data accessibility, integrity and utilisation.
• Lead and develop a high-performing data governance and management team.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Data Governance, Data Management and Enterprise Data Strategy within banking or financial services.
• Proven leadership experience establishing or transforming a Data Office within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory data requirements, data quality frameworks and industry best practices such as DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across business, technology, risk and compliance functions.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and organisational transformation capabilities.
