Overview

Citigold Private Client (CPC) and Citigold (CG) are key segments within Citi's Wealth franchise. In the UAE, these segments serve a growing client base of over 40,000 banking and wealth clients, and more than 180,000 cards and unsecured lending clients. We offer comprehensive wealth management solutions, from traditional banking and lending services to sophisticated managed investments and capital market access, delivered through both offshore and onshore platforms. Our client-centric approach combines personalized, high-touch service from dedicated bankers and product specialists with cutting-edge digital capabilities.

As Head of CPC and CG for the UAE, you will lead and drive the growth of these key segments in a dynamic and competitive market. Reporting to the Head of Asia South Wealth and serving as a key member of the Asia South Wealth Management Team, you will be responsible for the overall profitability and performance of the CPC and CG segments in the UAE. This includes strategic leadership, managing performance, client focus, collaboration, risk and controls, and leadership development.

Responsibilities
  • P&L and Balance Sheet Responsibility: Drive asset and liabilities growth actions to strengthen and meet all balance sheet targets with respect to self-funding ratio, LCR, and other metrics; drive sustainable business growth, growing Net New Investment Assets, revenues and profitability; offer differentiated value propositions and implement an integrated digital and manned distribution platform to provide world-class efficiency, experience and service quality.
  • Strategy: Articulate and execute a compelling vision and business strategy to drive sustainable growth for CPC and CG in UAE, ensure cluster and global alignment, motivate staff, and drive wealth advisor and client digital/mobile strategies; plan and execute the CPC and CG Technology Book of Work in UAE.
  • Customer Franchise Growth: Set strategic direction for ambition, products, partners, business development, segments and channels; develop strong value propositions; generate growth through new client acquisition and relationship deepening; identify market opportunities and run sales programs; build loyalty and satisfaction with metrics for customer satisfaction and NPS; drive initiatives to become a digital bank.
  • Risk & Controls Management: Continuously assess key risk indicators and ensure strict compliance; propose policy enhancements where appropriate; exercise sound credit and business judgment; ensure adherence to policies and guidelines; maintain audit readiness and strong controls; foster a culture of ethics, risk management, and compliance.
  • Day to Day Business Oversight: Provide leadership to CPC/CG UAE Management Team; set and review sales channel goals; coordinate initiatives to close gaps to plan; partner with Products, Citi Private Bank, Operations & Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal, HR, Risk & Control, and other Citi products to execute the CPC and CG business plan; represent CPC and CG within Citi and externally; lead client-obsession initiatives and drive customer acquisition, net customer growth, NNIA, and cross-sell; drive digital in servicing and acquisitions and maintain top mobile banking app store ratings; ensure audit readiness and strong controls.
  • People Management: Build the organization with the right structure and people; recruit, retain and develop talent; execute client advisor growth plans; provide leadership development and coaching; ensure Citi people management practices provide an excellent employee experience; support Wealth career path strategies and Total Rewards.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record as a senior leader in strategy, sales, people leadership, financial performance, and risk & controls.
  • 15+ years of relevant strategic and operational experience.
  • Proven ability to lead transformation and change to alter business trajectory.
  • Extensive knowledge of consumer banking, wealth management products, services, markets, and competitive landscape for Affluent and High Net Worth segments in the country.
  • Strong understanding of drivers of performance and decision making to maximize results.
  • Ability to build internal relationships across the franchise to drive common goals in a transparent, collaborative manner across geographies.
  • Proven leadership in a matrixed environment with public presence among clients, partners, regulators, etc.
  • Understanding of Citigroup policies (GCCFRP) and compliance (preferred); familiarity with Citi people processes (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field (preferred); MBA preferred.
