Job summary

Aldar Academies in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Art teacher to deliver the UK National Curriculum across an international school setting. You will plan lessons to drive outstanding progression and foster a culture of curiosity and creativity among students.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor degree with PGCE and has strong experience in teaching Art within the English National Curriculum, including support for students for whom English is not a first language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and PGCE Education are required.
• Teaching experience at UK secondary level is essential.
• Experience in an international school is an advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years teaching Art.
• Strong experience teaching English National Curriculum.
• Experience with students for whom English is not their first language.
• Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.

Responsibilities

• Teach allocated Art units with lesson planning to achieve outstanding progression.
• Create a conducive climate for learning and high engagement.
• Set learning objectives, assessments, and challenging tasks.
• Adhere to school policies and safeguarding requirements.
• Participate in staff briefs and professional training.
