Job summary

Kitopi, a leading food-tech hospitality group, is hiring a front-of-house host/hostess in Dubai. You will greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate reservations while maintaining a polished first impression.

The role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and effective communication in a dynamic, international setting. Candidates should have at least 2 years in hospitality, strong English, and a proactive, client-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluency is a must).
• Proficiency in Russian or any European language is a strong advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure seating promptly.
• Handle reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Resolve guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Supervise and coordinate the host/hostess team and train new staff.
• Communicate with servers and management to manage dining flow.
• Manage booking systems and walk-ins; keep an accurate floor plan.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Ensure guests are seated promptly and comfortably.
• Handle reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain a positive and polished first impression of the restaurant or venue.
• Supervise and coordinate the host/hostess team.
• Train new hosts/hostesses on greeting standards, reservation systems, and guest service.
• Assign and monitor tasks to ensure front-of-house operations run smoothly.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to manage flow.
• Manage booking systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms) and walk-ins.
• Keep an accurate floor plan and track table turnover.
• Balance seating to optimize server workload and ensure timely service.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluency is a must).
• Proficiency in Russian or any European language is a strong advantage.
