Job summary

Technology Innovation Institute’s Autonomous Robotics Research Centre (ARRC) seeks a GNC Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize guidance, navigation, and control for UAVs and autonomous systems. You will prototype in MATLAB/Simulink, deliver production-ready C++/Python code, and integrate with ROS2, collaborating with avionics and navigation teams.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control for autonomous systems.
Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for algorithm development and implementation.
Experience with UAVs or autonomous systems, including flight dynamics and testing.
Familiarity with ROS2, PX4, and Simulink toolchains is a plus.
Ability to work with multiple sensor modalities and perform robust testing.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate guidance strategies for different flight phases (loitering, mid-course, terminal).
Prototype algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink and translate to production-ready C++/Python code.
Integrate guidance algorithms into UAV software stack and GNC framework; ensure embedded deployment readiness.
Collaborate with navigation, control, and avionics teams; participate in HIL testing and flight campaigns.
Document designs, test plans, and performance evaluations; present findings to stakeholders.
