Job Summary: The Group Corporate Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records across multiple entities within the group. This role supports group-level reporting, consolidation, intercompany accounting, and statutory compliance, ensuring consistency and reliability in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Accounting & Reporting: Support the preparation of group reporting packs, including financial analysis and commentary.
- Accounting & Reporting: Maintain general ledger entries across entities to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Accounting & Reporting: Monitor account balances and resolve discrepancies in coordination with finance teams.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process Accounts Payable accounts timely and accurately.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process Accounts Receivable accounts timely and accurately.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with finance teams, auditors, and external advisors to ensure alignment and timely reporting.
- Collaboration & Communication: Provide accounting support and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified accountant (preferred experience in German and/or Swiss GAAPs).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years in finance/accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving ability and communication skills.
