Wood is seeking a Trainee Electrical Engineer in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on learning through diverse projects within the Oil & Gas energy sector and energy transition initiatives.

You will develop skills and gain industry exposure while contributing to design and analysis efforts for both onshore and offshore projects. The position emphasizes professional development, collaboration with global teams, and exposure to cutting-edge energy systems and decarbonisation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Internship or relevant project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Graduate level understanding of Engineering practices, design methods and calculations.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to the discipline of engineering.
• Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context.
• Graduate level of competence in applying standards, processes and procedures in work execution.
• Graduate level knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
• Graduate level competence in own discipline in task execution.
• Graduate level knowledge of industry trends and technology development.
• Ability to prepare accurate, effective written communications and reports.
• Good level of computer literacy and familiarity with relevant engineering software.
